Fun Games to Play at Wedding Showers

Once those wedding shower invitations have been sent out, it's time to plan for all of the fun games you'll play on the day you celebrate the upcoming wedding. No matter how many guests you are planning to accommodate for the wedding or bridal shower, choosing the right games will be one of the key ingredients to make sure everyone has a great time.

Toilet Paper Dress and Veil

This is a popular game that is also a great ice-breaker if you have guests who don't know each other well. Simply divide your guests into teams and instruct them to create the perfect bridal ensemble (complete with dress, veil, shoes and even accessories) made completely from toilet paper! You will want to set a timer to get everyone working as fast as they can. And don't forget to take picture of the finished products. These pictures make great keepsakes for the Bride and Groom.

Pass The Bouquet
Remember playing "Hot Potato" when you were a kid? Now you can play a game just like it, only using a bridal bouquet. The bouquet can be made of real flowers or fake flowers. Have everyone sit in a circle while someone plays music. The bouquet is then passed around the circle. When the music stops, the person holding the bouquet is out! Your guests will enjoy the great music and have fun laughing at each other as no one wants to be caught holding the bouquet at the wrong moment.

Guess The Groom

Time to put the Bride on display! Invite the Groom and some of his buddies to drop by the shower to show off their sexy legs. In this game, guests will blindfold the Bride and ask the Groom and his friends to remove their shoes. Using her sense of touch, the Bride will be instructed to feel the feet and legs of the guys before her. She will then attempt to guess which set of legs belong to her Groom. This is a great way to create a "blushing Bride" if she isn't one already. It's also a lot of fun for the men to get involved in the party. It works especially well if the party is a couples shower. You can also consider turning the tables and encourage the Groom to guess the hands of his Bride in the same way.

Words Of Wisdom

This is a great game for showers where the guests might not be all that interested in games. It's actually a way to "sneak in" a game and it's sure to get everyone laughing as well as emotional about the upcoming wedding. Ask your guests upon arrival to write down a word of advice for the happy couple on an index card. Cards can be shared with the group and even placed in a scrapbook for the couple to cherish forever.

Regardless of what games you choose to play at that upcoming shower, once you send out those wedding shower invitations the clock is ticking. You know your guests and what will respond to the best. Choosing the right games will be sure to make this shower the best one your guests have ever attended. And you'll also end up with one very happy Bride and Groom.
