A Medieval style chapel nestled at the highest point of the Bahamas, it is no wonder Joanna Wicenciak and Peter Dennis of Scunthorpe dreamed about getting married here. Not only does it boast incredible panoramic views but you can also see one of Cat Island’s most striking features - 13km stretch of pink sand beach which contrasts with the dazzling white sands along the rest of its coastline.
Cat Island, named after the pirate Arthur Catt, is one of the few Islands that retains the essence of bygone days. This provides a unique location for those who want to get away in private, relaxing, laid back environment. Cotton plantation ruins are scattered around the island. The remains of slave huts dating back to the 1700s and Arawak Indian caves can be explored.
Joanna and Peter and their two guests stayed at the remote and rustic resort of Fernandez BayVillage, Cat Island.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Dennis, wishing you both the best in married life for the days to come!
Tomorrow we set sail to the Berry Islands where Jade Chin and Mikhail Tokarczyk of Kentish Town, London tie the "Nautical Love knot".
