Bahamas 16 Islands Wedding Invitation, Wedding No 6: Claire Gordon and Jason Harris's Colour Me With Love Wedding

Claire Gordon and Jason Harris of Rhyl, North Wales celebrated their marriage with exuberant Junkanoo dancers in colourful costumes, masks, vibrant decor, music and a traditional ‘rush out’. This colourful display took place in the Bahamian capital Nassau where people danced on the sandy shores creating unforgettable moments. 

Claire, a benefit officer and Jason a panel beater, were another one of the 16 lucky couples that won the 16 Islands Wedding Invitation. Upon being told of their dream wedding arrangements, Claire said, “we are most looking forward to the Junkanoo theme of the wedding - vibrant colours and lively music which will make a unique wedding that we will remember for the rest of our lives together.”

 The Bahamian capital Nassau, on New Providence Island, is the last word in chic, a fabulously sophisticated place where you can spend your days snorkelling, scuba diving or water ski-ing and your nights enjoying romantic dinners with spectacular ocean views.

There is something for everybody, shopping for top designer goods, playing blackjack in the plush casinos and world class entertainment venues.  The lively spirit of the Old Bahamas comes alive twice a year in the famous Junkanoo Festival, a vibrant celebration of local culture which is the Bahamian answer to Mardi Gras.

Claire and Jason and their two guests stayed at theSheraton Nassau Beach Resort, Nassau.

Here is to  Claire and Jason having a very colourful and happy marriage! 

Tomorrow we will join Carla Nevill and Daniel Coote of Baldock, Hertfordshire as they "Light Up" each-others lives, saying "I do" at the  iconic candy-striped Elbow Cay lighthouse in The Abacos.
